The conductor behind these words is me, Marianna. I’m 24- which I will claim until I’m 30 because I am not ready for the down turn of my twenties.
I am currently a Marketing Support Specialist (not quite that fancy in real life) for a medical TPA- just think insurance, but also think YUCK (sorry if we work together)!
I am beginning the career of a lifetime as a Property Manager for a Non-Profit in King County of Washington State. I will be working with women and families that are either homeless or leaving incarceration/were incarcerated. This is a game-changing opportunity for myself and I am so excited to be a part of a system with mental health, chemical dependency treatments, counseling, Department of Justice compliance, DSHS, reunifying families, helping them get back on their feet within this society and turn their lives around. My job is the first step of screening them and approving them into our community.
I have my bachelor’s degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice with a minor in Global Studies from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. I upped and moved out there when I was a ripe 18 and thought I knew EVERYTHING about the world around me- if you don’t know me very well I do still know everything, if you do know me please continue the eye roll and keep reading. I lived a quite interesting and adventurous life for 4 years out there and had to come put myself in time-out and march my ass* back home to Washington- I was not making good or healthy decisions. The four years since my departure from Arizona have also proved as interesting twists and turns in regards to my health.
In the mix of my late teens till now, I was diagnosed by a few docs to be bat shit**crazy and then appeared this ticket for The Crazy Train. I’m not really sure if I boarded or was forced on the train, and I’m not really sure where my ticket came from, but hell, there’s no going back now, but I did hijack that train and become the conductor along the way.
*My using of the word ‘ass’ is a very mellow word coming from me, you will see a few vulgar words and if you can’t handle that, well then this is not the place for you.
**Please refer to asterisk number one above.
